COMPACT CONSTRUCTION. Diné College President Dr. Ferlin Clark, Navajo Nation President Dr. Joe Shirley, Jr., and Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed a compact that renews a $17.75 million agreement for another 10-year period. The state will provide $1.75 million per year for construction of facilities and maintenance at the college’s main campus at Tsaile and its five Arizona centers. “This is a great achievement for Diné College and the Navajo people,” says Clark. “This partnership for education between the state and the nation benefits everyone.”
