The two and a half minute film features students from all of North Dakota’s tribal colleges, including  Breanne Lugar of Sitting Bull College, Tammy Hammer and Florence Laducer-Garrett of Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College, Sheyanna Ashes of Turtle Mountain Community College, and Danancia Greywater of Cankdeska Cikana Community College. Heitkamp, who was one of the co-sponsors of National Tribal College Week, stated: “When we look at building capacity and improving conditions for Native people, I think there’s no institution more critical in Indian Country than our tribal colleges.”
