Speech Communication Instructor
Highland Community College located in northwest Illinois, is seeking to fill an opening for a full-time tenure-track instructor in Speech Communication beginning the fall 2017 semester. This position will teach 15 contact hours or more each week (fall and spring semesters) and fulfill other duties included in a full-time faculty position. Ability to effectively teach the introductory speech course and experience in coaching and/or directing Forensics activities is required. The ability to teach courses in Intercultural Communication, Journalism, and/or other courses within the communication field is preferred. Master's degree in speech or oral communication is required. Successful teaching experience at post-secondary preferred; community college experience ideal. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Experience in alternative delivery modes preferred.
