• HIV/AIDS Prevention in American Indian and Alaska Native Communities

    Researchers discuss the health-risk behaviors of American Indian/Alaska Native youth and young adults, attendant factors that lead to HIV infection, and cultural characteristics and values that may contribute to advancement of the disease. This article provides a rationale for developing culturally appropriate HIV/AIDS prevention curricula and instructional strategies for Native people.
